We believe that everybody is sacred, everyone has stories to tell and that in your story is a gift for others. We know that story sharing can be a healing and empowering process that can interrupt oppressive conditioning and realities, and unleash liberating possibilities, both for you and the larger culture. Sharing your authentic story is a powerful act of resistance. In proclaiming your truth, your story can ignite people to join you in creating a more just and loving world.

In an attempt to make our services more accessible to people and not just institutions, we are experimenting with a new video offering: Ignite.

Ignite is a chance for individuals like you to share your personal story and expression to ignite your purpose in the world.

We are opening eight slots for individuals. We will be filming April 10th and April 12th in NYC and April 17th and 19th in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are offering a comprehensive video production package that includes video consultation, shooting and a crafted video at a significantly discounted rate of $750.00 (80% cheaper than what we charge foundations) in order to unleash personal stories that ignite action.

OUR APPROACH

Our interviewing style is at the heart of our videos. Interviewing is an act of sacred witnessing. We acknowledge your fear and vulnerability. We know how much courage it takes to be seen. We honor you and your willingness to share yourself. We listen deeply. We trust wholeheartedly in your capacity to speak your truth. We help you find the flow and let it carry us. We hold space as you excavate your story, connect the dots of meaning in your life, and allow your soul to emerge. We will partner with you to uncover the gift in your experiences and invite others to join you in realizing your vision.

When you connect to the experiences that have shaped you, name the beliefs that drive you, and share the collective vision you're seeking to realize, the soul of your passion and purpose will naturally emerge. When you share that passion and purpose, you ignite it in others and sow a seed of liberation for our collective future.

THE PROCESS

Select a day and time. There are eight total slots to choose from spread over four dates - April 10th and 12th are in NYC and April 17th and 19th are in the San Francisco Bay Area. Check availability and book a slot here.

• Each shoot will be two and half hours long. We will likely spend the first hour and a half interviewing and the final hour shooting B-roll.

• Confirm your slot by paying no less than $500 of the total $750. You can pay via the booking website, through Venmo (@annieescobar) or via PayPal at paypal.me/AnnaEscobar.

Map out your vision. Once you submit your deposit and your time slot, we will confirm and schedule a 30-minute creative call to discuss the creative scope of the video and your intentions.

• You are the architect. The shoot can focus on your personal story as it connects to your purpose, a poem recording session, a poem and dance recording session, a music recording session, a time capsule to honor your survival/journey, or a chance to record a conversation between you and a collaborator/friend/family member. You can have a specific call to action or none at all. It can be oriented towards a campaign, product offering, event, or none of the above. We want to support your soul's expression.

Plan your shoot. After the creative call, we will send you a production spreadsheet template for you to lay out the logistics of your shoot. That includes locations and a shooting schedule. This will act as a guide to support you in preparing for the shoot.

• You will be responsible for deciding the shooting location. Ideally, we’d love to film in your home or workspace but, of course, the final decision is up to you.

Share graphics and video assets. Send us your logos, social media accounts, preferences for font and any information that you’d like to see included and featured in your video. We are happy to incorporate photos and video that you have already recorded as additional ways of visualizing the story.

Receive your editing timeline. We will send you the first cut of your video within three weeks. You will have one round of revisions, and we will welcome your honest feedback to align the video as much with your desires as possible (additional rounds can be purchased for $300 each). We trust your intuition, are open to feedback and commit ourselves to making something that you feel proud of.

Share your story with the world. After editing is complete, you will receive a link to the final version of your crafted video. You will have full rights to download the video and share it with anyone, anywhere along with the option to receive all the raw footage filmed which you will also own the rights to. We will charge $100 to copy all raw footage onto a hard drive and send it to you.

• You will also receive our distribution guide which offers best practices and ideas for sharing your video online.

We aren't sure if we will continue this offering in the future, likely not at this price point. Priority will be given to folks who are BIPOC, gender non-conforming, queer, trans, and/or survivors of sexual assault.
